New Teachers Share Fears of New Students
Many students remember what it was like to come to a new school our freshman year. Although most didn’t know a lot, or maybe even none of the upperclassmen, they still had some friends to be by their side. Most though can’t imagine what it is like for the new teachers. Dan Dilber is one of the English II and English III teachers and it’s his first year at FHN.
“[My first week] was really fun,” Dilber said. “I got to know a lot of the students.”
Just like most freshmen, Dilber had some fears of being a new teacher.
“I was worried I wouldn’t be prepared enough,” Dilber said. “Or the students wouldn’t be well behaved.”
As the week went on Dilber discovered it wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be.
“I got to know most of my students and they turned out as great hard workers,” Dilber said.
