Skinner is taking regrets as a way of life with out regreting it

Have you ever thought about your life? Have you ever thought about all those times you got in trouble?

Don’t pretend you haven’t. We all have – it’s nothing to be ashamed of. But have you ever thought about how you felt after you did whatever got you in trouble? When I get in trouble I have that feeling in the pit of my stomach, that guilty you-know-you-did-something-wrong feeling. I hate having that feeling. But most of all I hate regretting doing whatever it was that I did.

Regretting things you have done is all apart of life. Not the best part of life but it’s still part of it. Recently, I was caught in a tangled web of regret. It started out as nothing. It was in good fun, but then it spun out of control and left me in a huge mess and no way to get out of it. I tried ignoring it, but that didn’t work. There was something there that just wouldn’t leave me alone. I know if you have ever done something that you regretted then you know what I mean. But after a while it got better and I wasn’t so regretful anymore.
Life is full of hard choices. Some aren’t so hard, others are going to give you the biggest pain in your neck you will ever get. But in the end, if you think about it, even the things that you regret or feel guilty about are still apart of your life. And at the time when you were making that decision to do that, weren’t you enjoying life at the moment? I regret what I did, and I regret the things that have happened because of it, but I really don’t regret having the experience.
