Girls swim team find strength in numbers during first week of meets
The girls swim team is wrapping up their first week of meets. Monday the girls beat Hazelwood Central, but were defeated by Westminster on Wednesday.
“The girls have been a lot of fun,” coach Beth Ramach said.
“They’re improving. There’s a lot of potential.”
At Monday’s meet, senior Lauren Thrasher qualified for the state meet in the 200 yard Individual Medley and 100 yard Breast Stroke.
“I’m excited that I got my state times out of the way so early.” Thrasher said.
The team’s next meet is Monday Dec. 15 against Fort Zumwalt West at the Rec Plex.
