JV girl’s soccer finish season strong

The JV Lady Knights soccer team had their last game of the season on May 14. The girls played against Oakville High School and won 2-0. Freshman, Ashley Kingston feels the teamĀ  slacked off in the first half of the game, but picked up in the second half and did what they had to to win.

“I think [the game] went really well because they’re a good team,” midfielder Katy Friedlein said. “They are very physical and we played up to their level.”

Some girls on the team are sad that the season is over and are going to miss it, but think it was a really good season. Others though, are relieved at the same time. Kingston wouldn’t change anything about the season because she thinks everyone on the team was great and the coaches made it fun. The team’s final record of this season was 12-3-3.

“We played really well and worked well as a team,” Kingston said. “And the whole team got along.”
