Girls set goals for basketball

basketball1 The Lady Knights basketball team has been preparing for tryouts (which start on Nov. 9) for the past couple of
weeks. Dawn Hahn, Varsity coach for eight seasons, has many goals for the upcoming season.

“My main goal is always that the girls who play basketball represent the school well with class and character,”
Hahn said. “Positive role models are what define a successful season.”

Much of the team, including junior Kelsey Fouch, has high expectations for the season, compared to last season with a record of 12-14.

“I think we did well last year because we had good team chemistry,” Fouch said. “I expect better this year though. We have a lot of potential as a team and we also have good players.”

Junior Brooke Oostendorp, last year’s “stud” according to Hahn, is excited to get the season started. “My favorite part is the basketball girls,” Oostendorp said.
