The FHNtoday.com crew sat down with junior Brandon DeClue for a Q&A about this baseball season.
FHNtoday.com: How long have you been playing baseball?
Brandon DeClue: “I have been playing since I was five.”
FHNtoday: How long have you been on varsity?
BD: “This is my first season on Varsity.”
FHNtoday: How did you first get interested in playing baseball?
BD: “By watching the Cardinals play.”
FHNtoday: Who is your motivation while playing?
BD: “My teammates.”
FHNtoday: What has been your biggest accomplishment?
BD: “Having a multi-homerun game against St. Charles West last year.”
FHNtoday: Have you ever suffered any injuries?
BD: “This past summer I had a back injury that kept me out for 2 weeks, and cost me the All Star game that season.”
FHNtoday: What school do you feel will be your biggest competition?
BD: “Howell because we have to get back at them.”
FHNtoday: How can the team achieve a victory in this game?
BD: “ To have good at bats and solid defense, also to be supportive and loud all game.”
FHNtoday: What is your personal goal for the season?
BD: “To prove myself to the fullest whenever I get to start, and get ready for next year.”
