On Sept. 14, the annual homecoming football game was at Francis Howell North against Francis Howell who defeated the Knights.

“I wasn’t really thinking about how we were going to do, of course I wanted to win, but I was just ready to play,” Running Back DJ Curtis said.

However, they weren’t so lucky with a loss of 7-45. But the Knights said they had no intentions of giving up on the their hopes to turn around the previous seasons statistics any time soon.

“This games tells me that the team has good defense, we just have to work on our offense, we’ll get better though,” Corner Jalil Huey said.

Their next game will be played at Francis Howell Central on Friday, Sept. 21. According to the Knights, they plan on picking up their first win of the season in that game.

“We play against Francis Howell Central again next week and we’re going to try and work on the errors with the offense and the minor problems throughout the team,” Huey said.

The Knights have dedication to their team and believe will only get better throughout the season.

“We are just going to do and get better, we have to practice more, that’s all there is to it,” Curtis said.
