Anyone who wishes to be a KOE member this year needs to turn their commitment form and shirt order form in to Mrs. Scheller ASAP.  We will be ordering shirts over fall break.  Extra forms are available in room 130. 9/28 Scheller

Chem Club – Our next meeting is Tuesday, 10/2 after school in room 184.  Please bring a small soda bottle and 3 pencils.  We will be making vinegar and baking soda rockets!  See you then! 10/2 Hill Juniors in NHS are still collecting used shoes during parent/teacher conferences on Oct 2 and Oct 3. Juniors in NHS will have a table in which parents can drop off their used shoes in the foyer of the main gym. 10/3 Malkmus

Input Needed on the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 Proposed Calendars

A Calendar Task Force has recently met to review the current calendar format to determine if changes should be recommended. DRAFT 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 calendars have been developed and are available below and at the bottom of the survey.
The Task Force’s intent going forward is to develop and ask the Board of Education to approve one calendar each fall, for two years out. Thusly, going forward, District staff, students, and patrons will know, each fall, what the school calendar will be for the next two successive years.  The survey will remain open through 3 p.m. on Friday October 5.

Parents should be mindful not to plan vacations or trips prior to May 31, 2013 (the last scheduled snow makeup day for the 2012-2013 school year). Second semester exams are given during the last three scheduled days of school.  Taking exams early (prior to the scheduled exam dates) is not permitted to insure the integrity of common finals. 5/31 Administrators

Fall Parent Teacher Conferences All parents are encouraged to attend the FHN Fall Parent Teacher Conferences. These meetings are opportunities for parents to meet teachers, and to discuss academic progress. All teachers will be available for meetings in the Large Gym.
