The JV Knights hockey team fell to Howell 1-3 on Nov 2. It was the 20 annual Gold Cup game. Howell also claimed the Cup on a Varsity level.
The Knights only point was scored early on by sophomore Tyler McAtee. The last point of the period was scored by the Vikings just under the two minute mark. The Vikings pulled ahead in the second period, scoring around the halfway mark.
With three and a half minutes in the last period a Knight was injured and had to be led off the ice. The remaining Knights fought hard to tie the score and even pulled the goalie during the attempt. The empty net was an easy target for Howell who scored the final point within 30 second of the end of the game. (shot by ashleigh jenkins and alyssa savage)
