FHN Prepares for Prom

573 tickets have been sold for this year’s prom which will be taking place at the St. Charles Conventionprom Center on Saturday, May 2 from 6-11 p.m.. The only thing needed for students and guests to get into prom will be a photo id. Students should plan on arriving slightly before six to get checked in and seated and for dinner to be served at 6:30. No one will be allowed to enter after 8 p.m.. The theme for this year’s prom is Brazilian carnival.

“We added a bunch of colors and decorations in order to incorporate the theme this year” junior class delegate Kamila Zendran said.

Junior class delegates have been preparing for prom since the beginning of the school year. They’ve had meetings after school every Monday and Friday in which they planned everything from table placements, decorations, ticket sales, to figuring out what invitations they wanted and still have some last minute touches to finish on the day of prom.

“Of course it will be a success, I think the students did a great job planning everything”  junior class delegate sponsor Marissa Cohen said.

When arriving at the prom, students should park on the southwest side of the convention center by turning south onto Fairgrounds Road and taking the second right into the parking lot. They will then be able to enter the building through the doors by the roundabout and lampposts and take the escalators on the left in order to go upstairs. It is important for students to remember to lock their cars before heading into the building.

“I think people will really enjoy the event we planned, especially prom spirit week that’s going on right now” junior class delegate Anthony Lupo said.
