Student Council will be hosted the annual Trick or Treat Street tonight from 5-7:30 p.m. Clubs had the opportunity to create a Halloween theme, and then decorate a room and set up activities for children to participate in. The admission price was $2, and elementary school kids got in for free. The kids had an opportunity to eat food, play games, and get a head start on their candy collecting.

“Trick or Treat Street is a really fun event for kids in the community and this year we have a few more clubs participating which is awesome,” Student Council President Nicole Morse said.

Some of the organizations that participated this year were Publications, FBLA, NHS, KOE and DECA. The high schoolers who help run the event dressed up in costumes to encourage the younger children to dress up as well. Publications put on a princess-themed play this year to entertain the families who stop by.

“My team and I put a lot of hard work into the play, and I’m really excited to see what becomes of it,” one of the creators of the play, Ryanne O’Donnell said.

Some of the other clubs hosted activities such as cookie decorating, face painting, and a pumpkin toss. Student Council also had their own room at the event. This year, their theme was a haunted barn. The students who helped dressed up as farm animals, cowgirls and cowboys. Some of the activities they are hosting include pin-the-bow on the skeleton and a bean bag toss.

“Student Councils’ room is going to be farm themed and have a few different games for the kids. I’m most excited to see all of the clubs’ different rooms and how much the kids enjoy them,” Morse said.
