Senior Megan Dagenais spends her evenings working at Fritz’s Frozen Custard located at 506 Jungermann Rd in St. Peter’s. Dagenais has been working at Fritz’s for over a year now and plans to stay there over the summer. Dagenais works at Fritz’s several nights during the week and sometimes on the weekends.
Senior Megan Dagenais walks into her job at the beginning of her shift. Dagenais usually works several nights a week at Fritz’s frozen custard. Fritz’s is located at 506 Jungermann Rd in St. Peter’s.
Dagenais looks through the window that she takes orders at. Dagenais does many different jobs in addition to taking people’s orders.
Dagenais puts in an order into the register. “It didn’t take long for me to get the hang of working here,” Dagenais said. “Everything is really easy to pick up on.”
Dagenais takes the money from a customer. Although the workers make most of their money hourly, they also get tips when taking orders.
Dagenais pours custard into the machine. Fritz’s uses custard to make all of the items on their menu. Fritz’s is open from March through November.
Dagenais puts pecans into containers so that they are easily accessible to the workers.
Dagenais scoops pecans to add into an order of custard. Fritz’s has many different things on the menu for customers to customize their orders.
Dagenais hands the custard to the customer. According to Dagenais, Fritz’s isn’t very busy until school gets out because all of the seating is outdoors.
Dagenais takes off her apron and leaves the building when her shift is over. “I really enjoy working here because it is really easy and I like my coworkers,” Dagenais said. “I also get good hours which is really nice.”
