The Fight for Mosul: The Iraqi Government launched a military campaign to rid their country of the Islamic State. So far, the operation has been successful due to tremendous support by the Kurdish Peshmerga, a militant group for the non-US recognized state Kurdistan. The Kurds have been great support in the fight against the Islamic State.

South Africa begins the Process to Leave the ICC: South African minister to the United Nations announced Friday morning that they would leave the International Criminal Court. This is apparently due to the ability that the ‘Hague Court’ has to remove and prosecute the head of state. The ICC’s interaction with the African Continent has been tumultuous to say the least. The United States refuses to be a part of the court for similar reasons.
