The FHN wrestling team battled against Howell on Dec. 7. Varsity won with a close score of 39-33. Freshman had a devastating loss of 9-48.
“Our biggest strength as a team would probably have to be getting out of bottom, we are really good at that” sophomore Peyton Hebert said. “Weakness is being on top. We need to be better at riding the guys.”
This was their second meet of the season. They had a meet on Nov. 30 and a tournament over that weekend. After this meet, Coach Fowler said that the freshmen especially have a lot to learn.
“I was helping out with the freshmen tonight and we were making a lot of basic mistakes and we have to correct those basic mistakes if we are going to compete,” Coach Fowler said.
Their next match is on Wednesday Dec. 14 at 6 against Francis Howell Central at home. (Photos by Kyra Peper)
