On January 21, 2017 thousands of people gathered in Downtown St. Louis for the Women’s March. Women, men, and children began the march at the intersection of Market and 18th Street at 9 a.m. and ended in Luther Ely Square for a rally beginning at 10 a.m.. The march in St. Louis went along with the Women’s March on Washington and many other women’s marches around the world.

The march was a response to the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The marchers protested for various issues such as women’s reproductive rights, violence against women, and the wage gap between men and women.
