Students sing their way into All District Choir

is doing a lot to prepare her pupils for a chance to be a part of the All District Choir.

“Well, most of the students are working with private voice teachers and, also, we are practicing our sight reading in class,” Smith said.

The auditions will be held at Desmet High School on Oct. 11. The auditions will consist of all three Howell high schools and other public and private schools. Last year North had 12 of its choir members participate in the All District Choir and one student, senior Bob Strickland, went above and beyond and made it to the All State Choir.

“I think we’ll get pretty close to last year,” Smith said. “Hopefully we’ll be somewhere in the ballpark of 10-12 people.”
