TASC, Teens Advocating Smart Choices, is hosting a brand new event
this year called “The Knight Who Did What Was Right.” TASC is going to reward students and teachers who do the right thing with gift cards and a letter. Vice President Kelley Philabaun is getting ready to begin the event, which will be held all year.
“[I’m] super excited!” Philabaun said. “It’s indescribable about how I feel about this event.”
The sponsor of TASC for four years, Dawn Jones, has some high hopes for “The Knight Who Did What Was Right.”
“We hope people will realize we appreciate them making smart choices and being positive influences on our community,” Jones said.
The President of TASC, Cara Custer, and Philabaun agree that the event was added because they wanted to try something new and get kids involved with school and Philabaun agrees.
“TASC is a really great group,” Philabaun said. “[It is] something this school needs and that every student needs.”
