The powderpuff game is a Francis Howell North tradition where the senior girls play football against the junior girls, and the guys cheer. This years powderpuff game was said to be the closest competition so far. The game was high scoring and energy was pouring from the players into the crowd. However, before the game, tempers were rising.

“Seniors will win,” Senior Ashley Campise said.

“All that’s on my mind is creaming the seniors,” Junior Sammy Mulherin said.

Last year the class of 2009 lost as the 2008 girls stomped them. This year they were determined to win. However at half time the 2010 girls were confident that they were going to win this game.

“We were playing much better than they were,” Mulherin said. “We can’t let them win.”

Last year the 2009 girls lost bad and were no competition for their opponent. This year the 2009 girls were in for a big surprise as the class below them provided some great competition.

“They put up a good fight, that’s all I’m going to say,” Campise said.

Next year the 2010 girls promise to seek victory.

“They will win next year because they are a really strong team,” Campise said.

“We will crush them,” Mulherin said.
