To raise money for Nationals, which take place in early February of next year in Orlando, Fla., Knightline held a dance clinic on Saturday, Sept. 13. Girls in Kindergarten through eighth grade were allowed to participate.
“I think that it’s great that the girls will get to work with the little girls,” head coach Heather Box said. “It will remind them of how much they all have grown as dancers.”
While the clinic was a success, the girls are still short of their goal of $16,400.
Knightline plans to hold more fundraisers, including a trivia night, a pancake breakfast, and another clinic.
“It’s kind of a hassle to do all of the [fundraising],”
sophomore dancer Cat Pherigo said. “But it’s a lot better than saving the money on your own, and it’s a lot more fun because we do it as a team.”
