Once a year students from all grades flood the football stadium at Francis Howell North and to an outsider you would think it is your typical high school football game; people sitting in the stands cheering for their team, lines at the concession stand, a loud voice booming over the speakers, and a score on the board. However, there is one major difference the girls are on the field chasing the ball and the guys are the ones shouting cheers, waving their pom-poms.
“It’s really cool to just get out there and have fun,” junior Powderpuff player Amanda Best said.
It doesn’t matter if you come to watch a bunch of girls play football or see guys trying to be cheerleaders. There is a definite attraction to the event no matter if you are in one of the competing classes or a freshmen or sophomore.
“I guess people just want to see girls play football” Samantha Best said.
“It is definitely something that people should try…It’s just a twice in a lifetime thing.” Amanda Best said.
Whatever your reason is for playing or watching the game it is an amazing event to experience.
“A bunch of people just join together no matter what group your in and play your butt off,” Amanda Best said.
