On the evening of Oct. 3, Francis Howell North fans packed the stadium to watch the homecoming game. Tensions were high as the game started.

Things looked bad as the game started with Troy scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter leaving the score at 21 to 0. However, the game started to look up as North scored their first touchdown making the score 21 to 7.

At halftime, the game was definitely looking up as North scored another touchdown, leaving the score at 21 to 13. After halftime, the game became extremely close as North scored another touchdown, which left Troy leading by two points.

By the end of the third quarter, Troy had scored another touchdown making the score 28 to 19. Troy scored their final touchdown during the fourth quarter to make the score 35 to 19.

Even though North was behind by 16 points, they didn’t give up hope and scored the final touchdown making the score 35 to 25.

The team thought that they had played an excellent game even though they didn’t win.

“We played our best defensive game yet even if the scoreboard didn’t show that,” said player Andrew Hairlson.
