Pep assembly proves to be best yet

The Emcees at the 2008 Homecoming Pep Assembly announce for five members from each fall sport team to come to the gym floor. Each of the sports teams had to compete in a relay race against each other. The football team took that as their chance to dominate the other teams.

“The game is called Take Me to Vegas,” Emily Walker, a senior Stuco member, said.

Three people of the five member’s had to go to one side while the other two went to the other side of the gym. The members either had to wear a vial and garter or a hat when they were doing their part of the relay. Each member either had to skip, frog hop, Vegas kick line, or wheel barrow to the other side of the gym.

“It was a lot of fun and entertaining,” Josh Ahrens, a junior cross country member, said. “I had to wear the hat and do the Vegas kick line.”

The Students really enjoyed watching the game this year.

“It was really funny because everybody was so into it,” Junior Andrew Hood said.

Some students believe this was the best assembly they have seen in their years at north.

“It’s my senior year, of course it was the best one,” Brittany smith said.

Business teacher and volleyball coach, Lori Lutz, enjoyed watching her volleyball girls participate in the relay.

“It was really fun,” Lutz said. “It’s a good way to get all the sport teams involved and all the students looked entertained because they were all watching.”

After a conflict between the Emcees arguing if the boys soccer team or the football team won, they decided that the football team won.

“They get the joy of winning and bragging rights for the year,” Walker said

Now students are hoping for better next year.

“It’s been the best year so far,” Ryan Block said. “I’m looking forward to next years.”
