On Thursday, Oct. 1, many people came out in the 50 degree weather to see the highly anticipated Powder Puff game that was going on at Francis Howell North. The game between the senior and junior girls was close the entire game, but in the end the seniors conquered over the juniors winning 105 to 91.

“I expected a close game.” Junior quarterback, Niki Borgeson said.

The game around 7 with the seniors chanting “oh nine” and the juniors chanting “One Oh”, and then was followed by the national anthem. The game ended around eight twenty with all the players in a huge huddle on the field. The game was just as interesting playing in it as it was watching it.

“The junior and seniors scores were always really close” Maria Hampson a person who attended the game said. “Which made it really fun to watch.”

Seniors were really excited about there win over the juniors. Many seniors were calling people (about the win), taking pictures with friends, or just jumping around in the excitement of the moment after the game.

“There was something about this year that fired me up,”Jordyn Klackner, Senior offensesive line said. “I don’t think I ever stopped screaming (during the game).”

Even though juniors lost this year they still enjoyed the game and most are planning on playing their senior year.

“For sure (ill play next year),” Borgeson said. “Unless I don’t have any legs and then id probably still play in my wheelchair.”
