Las Vegas Homecoming Theme A Hit

The Homecoming dance was a success Saturday with the Las Vegas theme and decorations coming off popular with students and faculty.

The attendees really enjoyed the music and dancing but said that they didn’t like how hot it was in the gym.
“The heat in the Gym is a major problem.” Jani Wilkens a English teacher and Student Council sponsor said “but what happened was a blower broke and it was something we couldn’t fix.”
Besides the heat though most things went off without a hitch. The Las Vegas theme included several games that would be seen in casinos such as Black Jack and Texas Hold um. There was plenty of food to go around as well. There was plenty of soda and a chocolate fountain for students to dip a variety of things in.
“I think people are having a really good time,” Wilkens said “and the food is delicious.”
The food and Casino games were not the only things students liked, many enjoyed the decorations in the class hallways, as well as the decorations in the big gym where the dance was held under a large tent in the center of the floor.
“I think its better than last year,” Chris Boyer said. “The decorations are nicer they fit a lot better, it looks like they took more time with them.”
Even though the students opinions differed on the music being played, there was plenty of dancing going on as students and even a few teachers moved to the beat. Several students took it more seriously then others by getting prepared before coming.
“I like to dance.” Brad Rapert said. “I’ve been taking dance lessons”
