Anxious, impatient, black-and-gold clad students filled the gym on Friday Oct. 3. All waiting for the year’s first pep assembly, and for fall break to begin in a few hours. The events started with little hesitation. First, all the sports teams came in and the assembly started.
After a humorous but informational video by STUCO on assembly behavior and a relay race, the cheerleading performances began. Starting with freshman, then junior varsity and varsity following.
“I really liked the cheerleading performances,” freshman Ethan Brady said. “They did really good.”
After the cheerleaders was varsity Knightline and Studline with their performance. Both did very well and entertained the crowd.
“My favorite part of the assembly had to be Studline’s dance.” Veronica Suchy said. “I loved their performance, it was great.”
The crowd then got a sneak peek at the new fall play “Little Shop of Horrors”. Then awards for the best parade floats and MVPs of Powder puff were given. Following the awards, homecoming court was introduced. A slideshow of pictures concluded the event filled pep assembly.
