On Sat., Nov. 1, Howell North’s JV and Varsity teams played against District rivals, Francis Howell Vikings, at the Rec-Plex.
“I thought we played pretty good compared to our tournament games,” Varsity player Mike Pavolka said. “I thought we did a lot better.”
North’s JV lost 4-3 and the Varsity lost a well played game 5-0. This first game of the season was Gold Cup. The stands were filled with anxious fans waiting to see how the two teams were going to start the new season.
“It was a lot of fun,” fan, senior Sara Stubbert said. “Even though we didn’t win, it was a good try.”
