Actor and musician Mishon Ratliff – commonly known as just Mishon – has released his first single, “Excuse Me Mama” on Dynasty Records.
Mishon, like most of today’s self-proclaimed rappers, couldn’t sound more like Chris Brown, which is a growing problem. Chris Brown was the first to do what he does: he was the first successful rapper to pull off the sound of a young Michael Jackson. Mishon, and his musical pals, should try their hand at something original for once. Writing a song about noticing an attractive young woman and her mother while shopping isn’t the least bit original, it’s stupid. Although the beat throughout the song is catchy, that’s not saying a lot, as every rap song these days has a memorable beat. If Mishon plans on releasing his album later this month, maybe he should rethink his decision and go back to the studio to record something that I don’t think I’ve heard before.
