Dedication. If you ask me, everything in life should revolve around it.

It requires effort. You can’t just hope for commitment – you have to act upon it.

It requires patience. Things worth doing take time.

It requires desire. You have to want it whole-heartedly.

In my life, dedication has gotten me everywhere I’ve ever wanted to be. I dedicate myself to my schoolwork and I get good grades. I dedicate myself to soccer, and I improve – in one way or another – all the time. I dedicate myself to my loved ones, and we grow closer all the time. When I commit myself to something, I really commit. I don’t like wasting my time on things I’m not passionate about.

Too often do I see people say they care about something, but not act upon it. I’ve been guilty of it myself. We all have. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s hypocritical.

Prioritization is also a major factor.

If we can’t keep ourselves organized, we won’t have the time to dedicate ourselves. Chaos spreads us thin. You can’t dedicate yourself to everything.
