My family has never been the type to be overly extravagant with the holidays. For us, the holidays truly are more about spending time with each other. Although all of my direct family live within 30 miles from each other, we only get together three times a year.
This Christmas, my family simply sat around together, sharing baby stories and playing a heated game of Harry Potter Scene-It. Now that I’m thinking about it, the best gift I received this year was a $5 rubber duck key chain that lights up and quacks. (Can you say awesome?) My point is, I don’t care about how many presents I get, or how much money was spent on me. All I care about is spending time and making memories with the people that matter most to me.
