Renner compares her time at private school to her experiences at North

Some kids go to private schools all their lives, while others go to public. I myself, went from private grade school and one year of private high school to public school. At first the thought overwhelmed me. I had never been to a public school so everything was foreign.

However, having spent a year here I feel comfortable enough to make a collaboration on what I think of both. Although the question, “which one do you like better?” never ceases to stump me when I’m asked.

The truth is that both private and public school are to different to compare. There are many aspects about public school I really tend to like. Having classes every day for instance I enjoy because I can get so much more accomplished. I also like the extensive extra curricular activities that were not offered to me before.

With private school, what I miss most is the uniforms, oddly enough. When I had to wear them I dreaded them and their plainness. Yet, now when I wake up and struggle to find something to wear I miss those clean cut blouses.

With all things considered, both types of schools offer the same good education. For me, public and private is simply a label and both schools are only worth what you make of them.
