On Tuesday, Feb. 10, the Howell North girls swim team had GACs at the Rec-Plex. The meet started fifteen minutes late; it was originally suppose to start at 4:30 p.m.

The following teams competed at GACs: Howell North, Howell, Howell Central, Zumwalt South, Zumwalt North, Zumwalt West, Zumwalt East, Holt, Troy, St.Charles West, St.Charles, Duchesne, and Timberland. With all these schools, the girls had to place top 16to go to finals which is on Thursday Feb. 12.

“I raced 100 back stroke, I didn’t make it to finals but I didn’t care,” Coleen Grone said.

Many of the girls’ hard work payed off because they placed.

“I was really proud of my teammates because they worked hard,” Grone said.
