Spak asks why hunting is considered entertainment

When spring comes around and the birds start coming back home from their winter retreat, many people look forward to this time because a new season is about to begin, but that season isn't just spring, it's hunting season. The time were all the hunters come out of their houses and go kill more animals once again.

What I want to know is why you would want to go into the woods to kill some innocent animal? I mean, what did that animal do to you? Probably nothing. It just came out to eat some food to regain its strength from a hard winter and there you are in your hiding spot ready to kill it.

The most common excuse I hear for hunting is "controlling the population". It makes sense but in a way it is like murder. It's unethical; the animal probably can't fight back so it makes it easier on you when you shoot it. It seems that hunters choose to hunt because they want to kill something for entertainment. What kind of entertainment is that? Does it make you feel good about ending something's life? You shouldn't!

Just remember the next time that you are looking down the sights of your gun, think about you being in the reverse role. Would you want someone shooting at you so they could kill you for fun?
