Horror remake greatly disappoints movie-goer

This past weekend the remake of Friday the 13th was showing in theaters and I forced myself to go see it. Now, I normally do not like to see scary movies in theaters but for some reason, seeing only the previews, I did not think that it would be extremely scary.

When my friends and I arrived right on time as we walked in for the previews I was amazed because most every seat was filled from top to bottom, except for the first two rows, of course. As I was watching the previews I was already terrified, I thought I had made a huge mistake going to see this movie.

Now, I have yet to see the original Friday the 13th so I did not know the story line of this particular movie, but knowing the story line of most other scary movies, I could pretty much guess what was going to happen: Jason, a crazy killer was going to kill kids camping out in the woods while they’re on vacation.

While I was watching the film I slowly started to realize that all of the characters were going to die off very quickly and I was wondering how the movie was going to last any longer then it already had because it was only 40 minutes in the movie and it could have ended very soon. I was soon relieved when the story took a sudden twist and all of a sudden there were new characters within the movie.

As the movie went on I became extremely tedious and restless, I was wondering when the movie would end. Watching the movie, sadly, I could guess what was going to happen in the next scene and be exactly correct. During the movie I had no longer been scared, in fact it wasn’t scary at all, it had become more comical instead.

My friends and I were now guessing which person Jason was going to kill and in what order. As I was watching each character slowly die of a somehow painful death I was soon becoming anxious to see how the movie would end. Finally only two of the characters were left and the end was near, and then BAM! All of a sudden out of nowhere Jason appears and attacks the only people left in the movie, and of course the movie ended.

Overall I was extremely disappointed with the movie and I wish I could get my money back.
