FHN Winterguard will be traveling to Rockwood Summit High School this Saturday, Feb. 26, for a MCCGA competition to perform their show entitled “As She Waits.” The guard will be competing at 4:10 p.m. against eight other guards in the Scholastic A division.
“We haven’t seen Washington’s show yet but they are amazing and they are going to be there this weekend,” senior Megan Moore said. “We really want to see their show and hopefully beat them because they stole our medals from us last year.”
The guard just got back from WGI Nationals in Nashville, Tenn. with a score of 80.2. Their score has gone up 13.5 points since their first competition at Missouri State University on Jan. 31
The Winterguard’s main goal going into this competition is to have fun but mostly to keep improving on their scores.
“We want to get a better score than the last competition everytime we go into a new compeition,” Moore said. “We just want our score to keep getting higher and higher.”
