The other day, while walking down the hallway at school, it made me realize how many people actually have Nike Shox, it was about a three out of five ratio.

The thing that blows my mind even more is the fact that there are so many different shapes, sizes and colors. Some have four Shoxs on the back and some have six and some are even customized at Nike.com.

I received my first pair of Shox in eighth grade and it was pretty much the most exciting day of my life at that time because all of my friends had them and I got to spend $100 on a pair of shoes – pathetic!

Something that confuses me is that they can make Shox anywhere from $100-$200 and people still buy them! I feel that they are just as reliable as a pair of Adidas or Puma shoes, yet they are normally cheaper.

Yes, I do have two pairs of Shox and I love them, but I feel like it is some sort of addiction because normally I would not spend that much money on a pair of shoes. Many people that I know have six or seven pairs of Shox and they love every pair, yet that is almost $800 that they spent on shoes that could have been used for something else. Why?
