Imagine going through life frequently having to change your name, your story, and where you live. For 16-year-old Chass Pureheart and her mother, this was a way of life. The deception and ever-mounting mystery are two of the many aspects of the book Fake ID that make it so enthralling.
While reading the book I was met with various twists and turns in the plot that made it difficult to put down. Throughout the book, Chass’ search to figure out the truth about the secrets of her life keeps you wanting to know more by the minute. In one heart-pounding passage, Chass runs away and hitch hikes a ride late at night. The man in the car seems nice enough, until he starts asking questions about her and her mother. Chass realizes all too late that the man is very dangerous and will potentially hurt her. She’s then met with the challenge of either escaping or being killed.
Fake ID will give you chills and keep you reading until the last page.
