The new film interpretation of the DC Comic, “Watchmen” had it’s opening night on Friday, March 6. The movie is about how a former superhero named the Comedian was brutally murdered in his home. Another “watchman” named Rorschach looks for the Comedian’s murderer and documents it in a journal.
I went and saw this movie on opening night and was extremely surprised. I knew quite a few people who were planning on going so I expected the movie theater to be packed. It was almost bare. The movie was actually really good. The movie obviously had a lot of CGI in it, but that would be a little obvious in a movie like this. The movie was rated-R, so there was content in there that was not something I would want to see and that was probably the only part of the movie that I really didn’t like at all.
I actually went with someone who read the book before seeing the movie. He said that the movie plot was pretty much exactly like the book, except missing some sub-plots.
I went into that movie not really knowing much about it besides what my friend who knew the plot filled me in on. If you don’t know the plot of the movie, I’d suggest kind of reading up on Spark Notes so you’re not completely lost.
