Lit mag set to publish in May

The Literature Magazine club will be posting its first magazine on FHNtoday.com in mid to late May. The magazine will be containing all creative content from stories and poems, to art and music.

“Hopefully anyone who is interested in literature or art will like the magazine,” said Jessica Bremer, poetry editor and writer for the club.

Many kids from around the school who enjoy art and literature meet in room 170 to bring together ideas for the magazine.

“I’ve always loved to read and write. I like to showcase the talent hear at North and expose an audience to that talent,” Bremer said.

Dan Dilber sponsors the kids in the club. He helps lead and support the magazine.

“I was told it [the magazine] had been done in previous years and I wanted to resurrect it,” Dilber said.

Even with the job of teaching English 2 and 3, he still finds time for the club.

“I enjoy literature, and I hope to inspire that in others,” Dilber said.

To keep the club running the kids work together to earn money for the club.

“We did a bake sale, and we might eventually sell t-shirts,” Dilber said.

Literature magazine only plans to publish one great magazine for this year, but the club has hopes and plans for the future.

“I hope to have better fundraising strategies in order to publish more regularly,” Dilber said.

The question is will the club hold up and do well?

“Yeah, I think we are doing pretty good for a first year club with a new sponsor,” Bremer said.

Once the club’s work is finally published, all will be able to access the talent hidden here at FHN.

“I’ts nice to see a place where creative work can be displayed,” Dilber said.
