Jodi Picoult’s “Nineteen Minutes” was action-packed from start to finish. I’ve read a number of her books
and I must say, this has by far been my favorite. Filled with issues from life sentences in prison, to school shootings, to betrayed friendships, this novel was almost impossible to put down. When a bullied 17-year-old comes to school one day with one of his father’s guns and murders a number of students, fairness is questioned. Is this acceptable behavior when this boy was, in fact, the victim for so many years? The plot kept me interested from start to finish and the surprise ending is completely shocking! I definitely recommend this.
