Mentors review first day of school

Today, the mentors will have a meeting during homeroom to discuss how things went on freshman transition day as well as the standards for all mentors. Frau McPartland, club sponsor, is taking a “cool” approach in the meeting to help the mentors strengthen their skills but also have fun while doing so.

“It’s the first mentor meeting so I want to make it cool,” McPartland said. “We’re going to regroup and learn the activity for the next time we hang out with our freshmen.”

According to senior Chelsea Abanathie, the year of mentoring is off to a great start.

“I think it is going great!” Abanathie said. “The freshmen are well behaved and that makes it easier for us mentors. Also, I believe the mentors’ previous experience at school has helped the freshmen better with the transition.”
