Cookie dough offers path to prizes

2262It’s 2:30 p.m. and students rush down to the commons to pick up the cookie dough they sold to receive a free 2009-2010 yearbook.

“I think it’s a really good idea,” freshman Lindsay Bell said. “It’s good you get a free yearbook from it.”

If students sold 14  or more tubs of cookie dough, then they received the free t-shirt that students Sergio Cruz and Devyn Brown designed for the t-shirt design contest. If students sold 12 or more then they received free cookie dough and their name was entered into a drawing for a $100 cash prize and. The winner was Lindsay Bell.

“I was surprised I won,” Bell said. “I’m for sure going to go shopping with the money, I might save some too.”

This year 146 students sold cookie dough to receive a free yearbook. Yearbooks will be picked up at the 2010 registration.
