New members invited to second club meeting

sign-language-club On September 8 in room 107, the Sign Language Club will have its second meeting of the year. New members are welcome. The club will discuss its plans for the year and ways to recruit more members.

Emmi McMichael, a sophomore who is interested in sign language, said, “I think it will be a good club to join. Sign language is pretty cool.”

This club meets every other Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 pm. At most meetings, the students watch movies, discuss deaf culture, and play sign language games.

Junior Meghan Kennedy, a member of the Sign Language Club, said, “It’s fun to learn sign language. It’s always nice to learn another language and sign language is easier to learn than [some languages].”
