German club joins KOE in supporting athletes.

German club and KOE watch at boys swim meet. Sept. 16 German club and KOE came to support FHN’s Swim team.

“Each semester we try and plan events of the sporting activities to attend in order to get German students to support out athletes,” German club sponsor Anne Mcpartland said.

The meet was at 9 p.m. against Francis Howell and Francis Howell Central.

” It shows [supporting the athletes] that we have good spirit and people care to come to these [games] and show our appreciation for the athletes,” German club member Nick Marquart said. “My favorite thing is to hear all the fans cheer and to watch the athletes do a good job.”

German club members Drew Moersch, Beth Kruse, Andrew Oleschuk, Jennifer Meyers, Madison Eifert along with close to one hundred KOE members all came to the game.

“I think it’s just great,” head coach Chip Crow said. “It’s never ever happened in my thirteen years of coaching.”
