1901 reaches top 100 alternative songs on iTunes

Former band, Phoenix, reaches the top 100 Alternative songs on iTunes with their newest hit single “1901,” off their most recent album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.

The song’s original release date was this summer on May 12th but recently gained popularity, since its been played on the radio nonstop.

For people who like Vampire Weekend and Peter Bjorn And John, this is the song to check out!

The lyrics don’t really have any particular meaning but that’s what I think makes it so catchy.

With an alternative upbeat sound “1901,” will have your head spinning in no time.

When I first heard the song I was in a small CD store on Ball State University Campus in Indiana. The amazing song, itself was be played from the owner’s computer and I remember thinking “Wow! Could there be a better song than this?” That same day, I bought the album. I just had to have it. And ever since, I haven’t stopped listening to it!

I would suggest to anyone who hasn’t heard this song yet, to definitely look it up, and give it a listen!
