A familiar face seen around the halls with his everlasting smile, Officer Brese Squires was awarded officer of the year through Sentry Security. Officer Squires was awarded this honor for the second year in a row.
“I was a little shocked,” Squires said. “I know I always do a good job, but it’s always a shock to get rewarded.”
Squire has worked at Sentry for six years and North for five years. His loyalty is noticed by many people around school.
“No [I wasn’t surprised] because he is very dedicated to his work job and committed to this school,” principal Jack Ameis said.
The recipient of his award was chosen based strong performance on longevity. Squires stood from these two qualities by working overtime and leading all other security officers at North.
“This is a great school to work for and receive awards for,” Squires said. “I want to thank all of the great students and staff here.”
