This Saturday Oct. 17, the Art Club will be taking a trip to the St. Louis Art Museum. The club, composed of about 10 students, will be exploring the whole museum.
The museum will also be featuring the works of print-maker Tom Huck. Art Club sponsor Michael Leistner is hoping for a good turnout of kids.
“I know that, and I can’t explain why, but Art Club has been having a hard time getting kids for the past two years,” Leistner said. “Everyone is just so busy, it’s hard to get kids together on a Saturday. I’m just hoping that when I show up there at 9:30, somebody will be there.”
Although the Art Club will be making a special trip to the museum, it is free for all and open to the public. Students from FHN will be arriving at the museum around 9:30 a.m.
“I’m looking forward to get to hang out with everyone in the club, and getting to experience the museum,” senior Shannon Albert said.
