German club hosted their annual Oktoberfest on Thurs. Oct. 15. It was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the commons. Most German club members as well as Spanish and French club members attended.
“It was definetly fun,” Spanish club vice president Matt Lindsay said. “I loved dominating the competition in musical chairs.”
Other activities included a german-style pinata, pizza, refreshments, and desserts.
“All these foreign language events are my favorite,” Spanish club president Jo Heupel said. “Oktoberfest is different though, of course, because it’s german. Spanish club has Cinco de Mayo. French has their own. And Oktoberfest is german clubs.”
Tickets were sold for $2 for foreign language club members and $3 for non-members.
“I just love every part about these parties,” senior Emily Alderson said. “More people should go.”
