In the real world, when out of high school and working their various jobs, students will realize that their favorite jeans and shirts just won’t make the cut anymore. To represent attire proper for a business setting, DECA is going to “Dress For Success” this Wednesday as a part of DECA week.

“I’m wearing a suit and tie because that’s what you wear in DECA,” senior member Kevin Taylor said.

While boys wear suits, girls often wear pantsuits or long skirts with nice blouses. The club decided to work this day into DECA week to allow students the opportunity to dress up professionally and get involved.

“If the seniors and juniors dress up, their name will be written down and they will receive a free bag of cookies,” sponsor Melissa Trochim said.

In addition to student involvement, the club hopes that their efforts will raise awareness of the week of activities and the DECA Jumpoff game this Thursday.
“I hope that our DECA students will dress for success and promote DECA well,” Trochim said.
