Starting on Monday Nov. 16, StuCo will be collecting any type of canned food product. The cans are being collected until Friday during all first hours.
All products will be donated to the Oasis food pantry in order to serve needy families.
“This is an annual event that we have during the holidays,” said StuCo president
Crystal Freidman. “It’s so families without money can afford to eat a lot of food.”
Because many students won’t want to donate cans out of the goodness of their
hearts, there are prizes offered as well. The top three donating classes will win their
class a donught party.
The students of the class who donate the most cans will have
the privledge of getting into any StuCo event of their choice for free, along with having
a donught party.
“I think it is very nice of our school to try to help the less fortunate,” said sophomore,
Brooke Sommer. “I hope a lot of people donate.”
