On Saturday Nov. 21 FHN hosted their first craft fair to help raise money for the All-Knighter. There were 83 vendors and a steady crowd throughout the day.
“I think it’s awesome,” junior Cara Custer said. “It’s a great idea. I like how it’s not just a school event.”
Plans are already being set in motion for next years craft fair. The All-Knighter committee is hoping to make it a lot bigger.
“It was a great idea, it helps connect the community to the school,” All-Knighter Chairperson Yvette Pilkington said. “We’ve already got next years date set and have both gyms.”
The craft fair had everything from jewelry and candles to food and books. Many vendors were happy to help out with the All-Knighter and get a chance to sell their product.
“The main reason I did this was for the All-Knighter to be fun for the graduating class,” vendor Renee Meyer said. “We want to give them a safe place to hang out with their friends before they start a new chapter in life.”
